The Langelinie area in Copenhagen not only has the Little Mermaid, it has an amazing park full of monuments and history and a pier that and marina that welcomes thousands of tourists as their cruise ships dock nearby. These Ability Guidebooks are a support for people with autism who have stress from new situations. I hope it opens some doors!
This book will help people with autism visit one of Japan’s most popular cultural destinations, The Great Buddha! I sure hope I can find someone to translate it into Japanese!

Machu Picchu is one of the most wonderful places to visit in the world! It is a complex site that includes a bus ride up a mountain, climbing a rocky thin path up to the citadel and then the amazing ruins themselves. I hope you have an amazing visit!

In the afternoons in Bangkok people flock to Sanam Luang to fly kites. It is the most amazing sight–hundreds of kites looping and soaring around each other. It doesn’t hurt that the backdrop to the acrobatic kites is the Thai Royal Palace.
This is my first Guidebook for Asia and I am thrilled it is for a country I have visited so many times and love so dearly. I have visited many schools in Thailand and I hope my teacher friends there can make good use of this book!

The Taste of Chicago is one of those yearly special events that can be a bit overwhelming for some people with autism. This Ability Guidebook is a step-by-step set of instructions to teach people how to attend The Taste of Chicago.
This is a very good feeling. I have just finished the ninth and final book for Riga. It has taken a pretty good numbers of hours and effort but I’m confidant that having this many books for one city can make a difference. By creating nine outing books that gives a teacher nine monthly field trip options. It gives a family a whole list of places to go.

It is hard to believe that there are now 72 Ability Guidebooks! They are a labor of love and every time I finish one I picture it helping one person get out into the world. Having this to study might make all the difference for a kid’s success on a classroom field trip.

I had a terrific time presenting in Chicago at NNSTOY. I only had one free afternoon but was able to make a book for a couple of great outings. There are now books for the Art Institute of Chicago and the Taste of Chicago. This new book is for Grant Park and it’s amazing art, memorials and fountains.
